Albumdy is an open source photo gallery built with Ruby on Rails and jQuery using some of my favorite plugins and practices.

Not at the moment. I didn't want to bulk it up too much, plus there are many 3rd party comment apps you could use for that without writing / maintaining any code... maybe though, simple to add in an acts_as_commentable, we'll see.

A big request:
It seems you have used some the most needed plugins and tools for this app.
It would be great if we could see a video tutorial for this, like LearningRails.com created video for their CMS app. That way hundreds of beginners can learn more about rails app development especially that deals with image.

That's a great idea... It'd be a lot of effort, but maybe.
I changed the codebase significantly lately. Simplifying everything and adding the jQuery Galleria plugin for album / photo display.

Dave, what a great app! I had been thinking about something like this for a long time. Especially about the way that you control precedence of the pictures by drag-drop. What a cool idea. Thank you for sharing!!
